Hello everyone! I have victory being built for me. A dream from age 12!!!
Feb 8 2010, I was traveling across the country. Thought I had a ear ache!
Stopped off highway went to emergency room. I'm thinking ear drops.
A hour later my world changed. As the doctor told me I had
( all) acute luekemia !
Been in Cooper university hospital ever since.
Start 2nd round of chemo on Monday .
Can't see my kids, hurt in ways I never imagined!
Have dreams that on most nights scare me so bad.
It's a hard fight.
But see that victory that Diane is crafting for me is my light at the end of a dark tunnel!!
Knowing it's going to be mine!!!
Every pain every shot!!!
Even my hair loss!
The chemo !!!
That bike is my quest!!!
My reward!
My light to aim for! My reason to fight on these bad nights!
To most people it's just a bike!

I could use some wheelman support?
Tell me if you can understand ?
Say hi!!!
I promise you I will soon be ridding with you!
If not I'll be looking down watching out for all of you !!!!
If this makes no sense bad spelling please understand
I'm going thru hell here!
I love you guys !
May everyones dreams come true!!!
Thank you for listening

Hi Phil,
The above was chanted at the conclusion of the First
L.A.W. Annual Meet at Newport, R.I. on May 31, 1880.
I consider it an honor to have you as a fellow Bicycler.
Best Wishes,
Ed

Phil, The Victory is a beautiful bike and a beautiful riding bike. I think you will be as happy your Victory as I am with mine. Diane is building me a 56" now too and just like you I can't wait to get it. Keep dreaming those good bicycle dreams and plan on riding with your fellow wheelmen this summer. Think positive and lets talk bikes soon. Tim

Phillip, You keep strong. I am a cancer survivor for 10 years now, and I do know a little of what you are going through. I also remember two distinct days in my 70 years of life. The first time I rode my Silver King bicycle as a kid, and the second was when I first rode a Highwheel...Again, you keep strong with a good attitude, and let us, your fellow cyclist do the praying for you..

Hello wheelman
start another week long chemo date tomorrow.
It's getting harder somedays to keep a positive attitude.
So I read all the kind words left by you wheelmen!!'
and I think of the bike Diane is creating for me!!!
Before I know it I'm dreaming of a bicycle that
is my only possesion. It will be just me and my Highwheel !!!
I have a girlfriend who has two incredible sons!
Ones 25 and has his life in complete control.
But her youngest 17 has autisim . So far he has been my proof that maybe he
is the normal one!! And it is everyone else that's handicaped!!!
He treats everyone like we should be treated everyday!
He is kind and honest . He makes me want to be more than I am!
I thought god put us together for me to help him!
But now I see maybe they are in my life to help me!!
You see I'm so blessed! Luekemia has given me insite
I never had before!!! It's almost 3 am and pain right now is too much for sleep!
So on nights I cry from pain ,instead of asking GOD why ME?
I look at everyone that now is part of my life.
And I thank GOD for being so blessed!!!
Funny my bad luck is really the best thing in my life!
So now maybe you can understand me when I write
to you Wheelmen and say THANKYOU !
It comes from a place inside me I've never known before!
So THANKYOU everyone!!!
See I know my lifes now truly blessed!!!
And I am so grateful!!!
Cancer really has no chance in my life!!!
Phillip

Dear wheelman,
I wish I had better news.
They pulled me off chemo today . Ran extensive test on my kidneys.
Seems my kidneys have failed me.
Not looking good , skins yellow,
I have no regrets , love you guys for what you have done for me

Phill stay strong ,leave everything in His hand and fight hard, you are not alone ,we are all with you and we all are waiting to see you on that bike. The day that you decided to ride that bike let me know I have a gift for you,it is a beautiful riding hat that I got it from Greg.I want to see you on the bike with that hat.

Phill, although we've never met, you have my admiration and we are praying for you, that God will continue to give you the strength to keep up the good fight! My daughter is in second grade and she learned in school that anything is possible for God. She told me she is praying too!
